If you have left the UK for a continuous period of 180 days or more, or if you have spent a total of 539 days outside of the United Kingdom during this period, then your Long Residence will be considered to have been broken and you will not qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Settling (known as \u2018indefinite leave to remain\u2019) means you can stay in the UK without any time restrictions. Under UK immigration Rules, after this period of time you may apply for \u2018indefinite leave to remain\u2019 (also known as settlement). This means that you can stay in the UK indefinitely without any restrictions on how long you can stay.
